Marjun Syderbø Kjelnæs
Marjun Syderbø Kjelnæs (born 1974) is a well-known and active
voice on the Faroese literary and dramatic scene, and she has
published a wide range of works since her debut in 2000. Her
youth novel Skriva í Sandin , 2010 ( Skriv i sandet , Viatone
2013 , translated by Hugin Eide) received the Nordic Children's
Book Prize in 2011 and The White Raven in 2011, and her latest
youth novel Sum Rótskot ("Som et rodskud", not published in
Danish) was nominated for the Nordic Council's children's and
youth literature prize in 2021. She has received a number of
prizes and grants, and her works have been translated into the
